Ink Colour: Navy Blue

Get yourself a beautiful handmade tote bag with the "Resilience" print on it, but at a lower price cause the inking might have been inconsistent (or the artist accidentally got a lil spot of ink elsewhere on the tote... oops!).

It is double lined with fabric for extra strength and durability, and made with 100% unbleached cotton muslin.

They are sewn with a square bottom so you can fit your belongings in there comfortably.

Because these are handmade, they will not be the exact same, making each and every bag unique.

The body of the tote bag measures around 16.5" x 15" (length x width) and the straps are about the standard length of other tote bags.

With any of the limited edition tote bags sold, I am happy to repair the bags if seams break or straps come loose from regular use. I am also happy to instead share resources and walk you through repairing the tote bag yourself!

*--The Story Behind the Print--*

The woodblock print 'Resilience' is about strength, transformation, and of course, resilience. With the cicada, moon, and the magnolia as symbols that resonate with how I see these characteristics in myself, my communities, and in the natural world around us.

The transformation and resilience of a cicada, the very strong, beautiful, and adaptive magnolia tree. The moon as a way to speak of full cycles as it returns whole in the sky while the cicada's become inactive as the moon comes out. While the moon comes full circle everyday, the cicada's go through their transformations, then their offspring burrow and hibernate with assurance they shall come back out another year and make their presence well-known by daylight once again. The magnolia trees are a known symbol of perseverance as they are known to be some of the oldest flowering plants.
